The role of medicines and technology in diabetes: pitfalls, challenges, and opportunities! – Dr Saima Butt and Dr Katherine McCullough

January 23 @ 3:05 pm - 3:30 pm

Saima is a GP with a professional focus on women’s health at work and a personal mission to transform Type 1 Diabetes care. With her lived experience of raising a child with Type 1 Diabetes, she advocates for better access to technology and help medical groups and families navigate a diagnosis that is relentless but manageable. Her goal is to demystify the tech our patients rely on every day, bridging the gap between clinical practice and the reality of life with T1D.

Dr Kath McCullough is a consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology and Acute Medicine with a specialist interest in Bariatric Medicine at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. She has a long standing interest in weight management and undertook her PhD on novel treatments for obesity at Imperial College, London.
