A Conspiracy of Good Intentions: the psychology challenging our NHS – Dr. Roddy Campbell

Dr. Roddy Campbell
I came to medicine late after 12 years in the Army. Medical school and house jobs in Scotland followed, then marriage, at which point the idea of a brief ‘working honeymoon’ in New Zealand proved too just hard to resist. It actually took 10 years for us to return to Britain, now with a family and a FACEM, and I joined the fabulous Derriford ED team in 2012. A working life spent mostly outside the NHS has given me an outsider’s perspective on some of the challenges we now face.
