Dr James Cameron: The Continuous Flow Model

James qualified in 1997 from UCL. He trained as an Emergency Medicine registrar in North East London. Following a challenging case when TTL as a registrar, he devised and introduced the first Massive Transfusion Protocol in the Royal London Hospital in 2003.

He has worked as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in Maitland and  Newcastle, NSW and St George’s, Tooting before moving to Bristol and Southmead Hospital in 2015. James has been the clinical lead there since 2021. He has two children and a cat with one eye and he cycles to work on sunny days.
